Chamber Looks for Volunteers and Runners for Second Annual Education 5K

The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation is seeking volunteers and participants for its second annual Race for Education 5K Run/Walk.

The event offers community members a chance to support local education while staying active. Volunteers are needed to help with race day operations, including registration, course monitoring, and distributing water to runners. Students who need service hours can earn credit by volunteering at the event.

Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to take part in the 5K. The race brings together local businesses, schools, and families for a morning focused on health and community support. Proceeds from the event go toward the foundation's efforts to fund educational programs and scholarships for students in the area.

Organizers say the race has grown since its first year and they hope to see even more participation this time. Community members can sign up as individuals or form teams with coworkers, friends, or classmates. Local businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities can also reach out to the chamber for details.

The event is scheduled to take place with a morning start, and participants are encouraged to register early to secure a spot. Whether running for a personal best or walking with family, attendees will be contributing to a cause that directly benefits local students.

For those looking to get involved, volunteering or registering as a participant are both ways to make a difference. The chamber encourages anyone interested to reach out soon, as volunteer slots and race entries may fill up quickly.
