PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Adult Education program celebrated its annual graduation ceremony on Thursday night at West Virginia University at Parkersburg, where 21 determined individuals proudly walked across the stage to receive their high school equivalency diplomas.
Instructor Deanna Addis highlighted the unique journeys of each graduate, stating, “Every story is special.” She emphasized the incredible resilience these individuals have shown, overcoming various obstacles to achieve their educational goals. The event was filled with emotions, as family and friends gathered to support the graduates, who have demonstrated not only dedication but also a commitment to personal growth and lifelong learning.
