Rep. Bohnak highlights key education budget wins for Upper Peninsula students

Bohnak said the expanded busing dollars will help districts cover rising fuel and maintenance costs, keeping routes running without cutting services. The CTE investment, he noted, prepares students for high-demand jobs in fields like manufacturing and healthcare, helping them build careers close to home. The lawmaker called the budget a win for every family in the Upper Peninsula, saying it puts students first while respecting taxpayer dollars. The new funding takes effect at the start of the next school year.
