The Estes Park School District Board of Education has officially selected David Grubbs to serve as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools. The decision follows an extensive national search conducted in collaboration with the executive search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, which attracted a competitive pool of candidates from across the country.
Board members cited Grubbs’ demonstrated leadership experience, collaborative approach, and deep commitment to student success as key factors in their unanimous decision. Grubbs brings a wealth of knowledge in educational administration, having previously held senior leadership roles that focused on curriculum development, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement. His track record of fostering inclusive learning environments and improving academic outcomes aligns closely with the district’s strategic priorities.
In his new role, Grubbs will oversee all aspects of the district’s operations, including instructional programs, staff development, budget management, and facility planning. He will work closely with teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to advance the district’s mission of providing a high-quality education for every student.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for Estes Park schools, as the district continues to navigate post-pandemic recovery and address evolving educational needs. Grubbs is expected to assume his duties in the coming weeks, succeeding the interim leadership that has guided the district during the search process. The Board expressed confidence that his vision and expertise will help propel the district forward, ensuring continued growth and excellence for students and families in the Estes Park community.
