The 10th annual Teacher Leader Forum, hosted by the Teacher Leader Fellowship Academy in partnership with CEA, recently brought together educators and administrators for a full day focused on learning, connection, and collaboration. The event, now a decade old, has become a key gathering for those committed to reshaping school culture from the inside out.
This year's theme centered on creating learning communities rooted in connection and care. Organizers emphasized that strong relationships between teachers, students, and staff are the foundation for academic success and personal growth. Workshops and keynote sessions explored practical strategies for building trust, fostering inclusive environments, and supporting teacher well-being as a pathway to better student outcomes.
Participants shared stories of how small shifts in communication and daily routines can transform a classroom or a whole school. One session focused on restorative practices, while another looked at how to lead without formal authority. The forum also provided space for educators to network, reflect, and recharge.
Many attendees noted that the event felt especially timely. With schools still recovering from disruptions in recent years, the need for intentional connection has never been greater. The forum offered a reminder that teaching is not just about delivering content, but about nurturing the whole person.
As the day wrapped up, organizers encouraged everyone to take what they learned back to their schools and start small. Even one caring conversation, they said, can begin to build a stronger community.
